The Dyer County High School Lady Choctaw Volleyball team defeated Arlington High School to claim the 14 AAA District Volleyball Championship. Congratulations to the Lady Choctaws and best of luck in the region tournament. The Lady Choctaws will host the 7 AAA Regional Tournament on Tuesday, October 9. Daily Announcements October 8, 2018 Congratulations to the following students who were selected by competitive competition audition to participate in the All Northwest Choir: Magdalena Hendrickson, Haley McGuire, Rebekah Hudgins, Julianne Fowler, and Christian Tucker. These students will represent DCHS over the 3-day Honor Choir Festival in November. There will be a senior meeting tomorrow afternoon in the Theater for students to receive their TnAchieves handbook. Students will be dismissed via intercom at 2:15 to report to the Theater. The 10th & 11th grade students registered for the PSAT will need to meet in the Theater tomorrow during 2nd block to pre-bubble; the PSAT test will be given Wednesday in the Theater. Students will report directly to the theater for pre-bubbling tomorrow and for the test on Wednesday; you do not have to check in with your teacher, attendance will be taken in the Theater. Students are responsible for bringing their own calculator and pencil for the test. The FFA Greenhand and Chapter cookout has been rescheduled for October 9th. There will be a bowling night at JC Bowling lanes in Dyersburg, October 11th at 5pm for any FFA Members. The Balfour representative will be at school on Thursday, October 11th during lunch to assist with graduation supply orders. For senior supplies, an $80 deposit is required with each order. Cash, money orders, credit/debit cards and checks made to Balfour are accepted. Senior ACT Boot Camp is scheduled for Thursday, October 11th and Friday, October 12th. Please use the Class of 2019 Google Form to register for the sessions that you want/need the most. You do not have to attend all sessions--just the ones you believe would most benefit you.
