Powderpuff Powderpuff 2019 has been moved to tomorrow, November 6th at 4:30 pm. We are expecting a lot of rainfall after midnight tomorrow and would not be able to play on the scheduled date of Nov. 7th. Admission is $5. Concessions will not be served. Student tickets will be on sale during break and lunch for $3. Student tickets will be $5 at the door. Senior Meeting There will be a mandatory senior meeting on Thursday, November 7 at 8:15 in the theater. All seniors will report to their 1st block class and will be released by an announcement to report to the theater. Football Dyer County High School will be hosting a first round TSSAA football playoff game on Friday, November 8. The Dyer County Choctaws will host Kirby High School Cougars. The game time is 7:00pm and the price of admission is $8.00. Come out and support the Choctaws in the first round of the state playoffs. GO CHOCTAWS!!! ACT The next ACT test will be given on Saturday, December 14. The registration deadline for this test is Friday, November 8. Students will register online at http://www.act.org/ Students please refer to your google classroom to see the incentives available for students who take the December test to this announcement. National Honor Society Dues for new members need to be paid by Friday, November 8th. Please see Mrs. White or Ms. Tickle for a form. Dual Enrollment & FAFSA Meeting There will be an informational meeting on Monday, November 11th at 5:30 for any student taking a Dual Enrollment course through DSCC next semester. This meeting will cover basic information about classes offered and financial aid for dual enrollment. There will also be some financial aid representatives available for seniors that still need help applying for the FAFSA. Orange Madness Orange Madness will be held at Dyer County High School on Tuesday, November 12th beginning at 5:30 PM. Admission is $3. Soccer Conditioning Soccer Conditioning will be November 12th, 13th, and 14th from 3:15 to 5:00 PM. You must have a completed Arbiter Account in order to participate. For the last two Saturdays, they have traveled to Arkansas State University and Paragould High School to compete with over 38 other bands! John Uitendaal and Southern Dutchman Insurance presented the book containing all the works from Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn- A Dutchman recognized as "Old Master" Painter and Inventor of Modern Etching to the Dyer County High School Art Department. He presented the gift on the October 4, 2019 the 350th year since the passing of Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn. This day is also recognized as DCHS Homecoming Day.
